What would you do if you were left with nothing…
The snow is coming down in Atlanta (!), and that's quite a novelty for us.
He was really and truly left with nothing… but he learned
some of the most valuable lessons possible in life.
No reason to spoil any of it – it's worth your time this afternoon.
Best regards,
Brad
P.S. This is pretty thought-provoking stuff. How about letting
me know what you're thinking down below?

I can't find the post??? Just goes to Mike Filsaime. Would really like to read. I do hope I never get there, but sometimes struggle making a living online.
If i was left with nothing but a laptop and an internet connection, I'd freelance, get enough money to create a website and write about 100 articles to an affiliate offer.
Amazing story… I'm thinking if I can do the same thing…
This is such a worthwhile message.
We have established society in such a way so as to encourage isolation, even on the most crowded street.
Much of the cruelty that we see is the result of that isolation, the desperation knowing that in fact our society has built its gated communities, its vaults, in order to isolate wealth, to secure personal riches.
However, sadly, when given an opportunity, approximately 10% of the population prefers to steal and maim rather than offer assistance and healing.
How much of that is due to the way wealth is allocated and how much is simply native to certain souls, who is to say.

Thanks for this great thought I like it very much.
Having just recently launched a few online ventures, I value the thoughts and questions that you presented. It is not every day that you get to start out and do it right.
If we were left with no money in circulation, but had to pay for everything with only good deeds born of the heart. Just imagine. Great stuff Brad
Great message,love it so much
I want to do nothing, but I am here
Nice post.Thank you for taking the time to publish this information very useful!
I’m still waiting for some interesting thoughts from your side in your next post thanks
you guys are an inspiration! I will get there one day!
This show us to appreciate the things we have, and be prepared for what it comes on the near future.
Great blog. It makes you think about what should be most important to us.
Learn or to enjoy life
Well, it seems to me the only way out is try to warm up yourself until you can do it. But not loosing your hope and stay freezing.
Steve jobs once said,
That getting pushed off Apple was the best thing happened to him,
Because he suddenly found him self with nothing it gave him the drive to achieve greatness
Many thanks for the great motivation and advice on this blog!
you took away everything they own, they could get it back again. At the end of the day, this is what's meant by "you are your wealth". Your most valuable asset is what you have inside you
Thanks great read
great link bait :p but just to answer the question, I will find ways to survive below zero, even it's impossible.
This is why in life we should try not to make the same mistake twice if possible.
I will think about Butterfly Marketing.
I would push myself backup and start all over again!
I do not know what I would do, hehehehe…
Being without heat at below zero would feel pretty hopeless. But I'm guessing Mike (where the link points now) has never been in that situation.
Thanks to superb design, great site
thhnxx for post
Great job! I loved this post.
I really enjoyed your article.
There's an old saying amongst successful and wealthy people who say that if you took away everything they own, they could get it back again. At the end of the day, this is what's meant by "you are your wealth". Your most valuable asset is what you have inside you, at the end of the day – so invest in health, knowledge, relationships, network, friends and skills.
If I were left with nothing I suppose I would have no clue how to behave. Cos we have nearly everything nowadays. Dunno how the homeless deal with their lives.
I finally decided to write a comment on your blog. I just wanted to say good job. I really enjoy reading your posts.!!!
Internet..is the best way to kill boredom
amazing. I think i should be afraid in this situation.

Kind regards,

Thanks you for your article.
Nice informations
It's a really story? But whatever, because it's a good post, it's enough.
Well, I believe this must be the story of many ex-fund managers who used to work for the investment banks. Thanks for sharing such a nice topic.
It is April but it is still snowing from time to time. What is going on with the weather this year?
I can't find the post??? Just goes to Mike Filsaime.
Would really like to read.
I do hope I never get there, but sometimes struggle making a living online.

If I were left with nothing, I would be in one of the best positions in the world to get ahead in life. If you have nothing to lose, you have everything to gain. Fear would have been effectively eliminated. You can only move up at that point. Though I would never voluntarily seek to make it to that position, I'd certainly leverage it to my advantage.
Mike filsaime is the best in my book but if i was left with nothing will just have to start over
hm i feel disappointed but i think there was something behind that nothing
You are never left with nothing. If you got nothing to lose you might be stronger than ever. Thanks for the inspirational post!
Thanks for sharing articles. It very interesting.
Thanks for sharing this article I enjoy it.
Wow,
Unbelievable, this man is a hero!
I've actually been in a similar situation where it was below zero and our power went out. We didn't have heat for two days, it was very brutal but its nothing like what this guy had to do. I commend them for this.
Most successful people have faced heartbreak and failure before they ever reaped the rewards of success. I guess it's just a part of being successful.
It's an interesting information and useful suggestion for me, I'm now in this situation. thanks for all
Ice Breaker Post you have here… If I have nothing? uhmm I will beg for someone else
? very interesting blog you have here..
The first priority of the site administrator for your comments right know, thank you. Really very good information-sharing gives you. Thanks in knowledge
Very Nice Article… I really enjoyed it..
hi, I really enjoyed your article, i like your sense of thinking. thanks for sharing this useful info.
The video is apparently no longer available, but I'm definitely agreeing with Ed up at the top. There's no substitute for experience, and knowledge is a valuable commodity. Even with nothing left from a material standpoint, you always have what you know to get you started again.
It's an interesting approach. I commonly see unexceptional views on the subject but yours it's written in a pretty unusual fashion. Surely, I will revisit your website for additional info.
It's scary to think about what we would do if we were left with nothing. I guess rebuilding is the only way to go, right? The only other alternative is to give up completely, which isn't much of an alternative.
Internet is the first option..spend time on internet..
I've been down to nothing myself, it feels great to get back to where I know I should be.
probably kill myself
great great great..thats all i can say
This post will be help for all the people and motivate all for at least trying something even though there are no any resources…Here comes the part of human brain which can find out the options in the most terrible conditions too…
"What would you do if you were left with nothing…?" This statement is associated with the business. What would you do if you loss your business? This will made us think better strategies that will aid leaped or work. On at first we stumble and fall, then on the next round we have put our best foot forward in order to attain success.
I agree with the first comment, you will still have your experiences and from there you can built something new. I would try to do everything that I thought of but did not do.
If I were left with nothing…I would start from scratch and build up. The experience and knowledge you have can never be taken away.
So…I suppose, you can't really start from nothing.
Ed
I finally decided to write a comment on your blog. I just wanted to say good job. I really enjoy reading your posts. THUMB UP
thank u for your article. this must be the story of many ex-fund managers who used to work for the investment banks.
I really enjoyed your article, i like your sense of describing.
Is this a true story? if it is, I am spell bound as to how things have unfolded, amazing line!
i really enjoy this article thank you it…
I’ve really enjoyed reading your post. You obviously know what you are talking about!
I really enjoyed your article, I tweet!
Mike Filsaime is a genius. And his story is true. Interesting way to get us to read the pitch too. Thanks
Well I can almost understand a guy left with nothing, freezing in a house without heating in the middle of winter and left to scramble for pennies to eat, stealing from people who are in pretty much the same situation.
What I don't get is why someone who's made 25 million online the last few years doing it.
After ordering a FREE copy of "the Butterfly Effect" (just pay shipping) I found my self being systematically robbed by Mike Filsaime for a couple of months until I finally cancelled my creditcard to put a stop to it.
Every month I was charged for not one, but two! membership products I never signed up for, and after numerous emails, messages to "customer services" and phone calls (where it was not possible to speak to anybody) I finally had to call my bank to cancel the card. This alone caused me untold problems as I was abroad in the middle of a custody battle and couldn't easily renew it.
Must be a practical solution to having to deal with unhappy customers though, just ignore them AND keep taking money for a product they never ordered AND never received.
All I have to show for all that money leaving my account is an ebook version of the Butterfly Effect. I never got the physical product. Or anything else.
Not even a reply…
So if this is the business model you need to follow to make a good living online, I think I'll just pass. And needless to say I will NEVER concider spending money on anything affiliated with Mike Filsaime ever again.
If someone had answered my queries and attempted to correct the mistake (if it indeed was a mistake and not a business model) I could easily have been turned into a loyal customer, impressed with the company's ability to sort out problems if they arise, hence giving me more confidence to deal with them in the future. But no…
He's also made sure I wont deal with any of his affiliates either, even if it's completly unrelated products and services. If someone has the bad judgement to recommend his products, anyone else they represent might be just as unscrupulous…
Sorry about the rant, but this really put me in a BAD position financially when it happened and severely set me back for months. Still can't believe I got absolutely nowhere when trying to contact his company.
Thanks Mike, for screwing a struggling, single mum. And oh, it's not too late to make amends but I wont hold my breath…
Yours, truly discusted, Malin Friskman
ps. I understand you wont leave this comment up, but at least you guys now know my story
What video? Nothing happened when I clicked on the picture. One 2.86k ring does not tell the story. Knowing that this person was broke in 1995 doesn't tell the story. If the video was working, then there would be a story to be told.
P.S. Like the way you work (and think), looking for more in the future.
Please click on the link in blog post – it'll take you to the video. Thanks!
Brad,
You're right… very thought provoking! It always amazes me when I hear a powerful story like this. The great lengths that Mike went are a testimonial that working smart versus working hard is the way to go in these current times.
Thanks for sharing!
