StomperNet LIVE 7: More from the floor

17

Hello again!  We're back posting once more from the StomperNet LIVE home base with another report – this time, I want to focus on Saturday's first standout keynotes.

If you can't nail down the quality of your event in the first hour of the day, it's going to start off dragging and it won't EVER pick back up.

But this is StomperNet.  It NEVER drags over here. :P

So, let's start at the beginning.  On Saturday morning, we subjected our attendees to something very… loud. :)

Perry Belcher took the main stage, before most folks had even had enough coffee to get going.  And let me tell you, he took hold, captured our attention and he didn't let go until he'd delivered one of the most comprehensive strategies for quickly dominating any niche by practically manufacturing celebrity status using social networking.

Perry Belcher on the stage, laying down the foundation for social marketing domination

So why Perry?  Why social media?  Maybe because he got TENS of thousands of Twitter followers in less than 200 days.  He's maxed out on Facebook in the same amount of time.  The results of Perry's twitter linking is the same as instantly mailing a list of 30K+!  And that's INSTANT. That's 100% deliverability.  That's control that anyone can replicate.

The BIG picture is all about linking together all your social activities, but "Step 1″ might surprise you.  According to Perry, even though it's a relative newcomer to the social site game, Twitter is the start of EVERY social campaign, simply because that's where the fast responders are.  Twitter users want new fresh info immediately, and they gain a kind of "social currency" by repeating that info.

Therefore, it's the PERFECT place to try to gain fast followers, and begin to release your info.

Of course, there's a LOT more to becoming a Twitter demi-god, which is why when Perry asked for more time, the audience told him he could take as long as he needed!  Wow.  The crowd has spoken.

Maybe they were just hypnoized by those crazy shirts of his.  Here's a better look, in case you didn't see it loudly enough in the first picture. :)

Here's a better shot of Perry's shirt (batteries not included).

I honestly wish I'd had my camera at Saturday night's cocktail hour, because the shirt he wore THEN was even MORE… enthusiastic.  (Think flames and dollar signs!)

Now, Perry set the tone for the entire day, giving our attendees a great foundation to be able to discuss their ongoing business-building and marketing efforts with our faculty and their fellow entrepreneurs, business owners, colleagues, and peers.

And throughout the rest of the day, during our confidential roundtables and site reviews, the high energy level Perry set in the morning carried through WELL into the evening.

So how do we keep it going on Sunday?  Even though we LOST an hour to daylight savings, things kept rolling like an avalanche coming down the mountain.

Stay tuned for an update a little later on!

  1. Perry Belcher has just announced he is retiring — not from Internet marketing, per se — but from the business of teaching Internet marketing.

  2. It’s so cool when people are honest. Too many people are out there to tale you for every penny they can. I try to present myself with honesty and integrity always and it’s great to see I’m not the only one. Keep up the good work Perry.

  3. Perry's powerpoint covered some very useful concrete examples when trying to explain why its a good move to deploy his Triangulation concept, I've since uncovered a more detailed diagram that shows just how expansive the Social Media landscape REALLY is.

  4. Wow i can't imagine how Perry is so good, his marketing strategies is really interesting, using twitter as a tool to dominate niche competitors. This post really fires me up!

    Regards,
    Mark

  5. Very nice blog. Thanks for the valuable contributions to this site. Have good works.
    Thanks for your help..

  6. Social media and twitter is exploding Perry has great knowledge in these areas. You have to keep up with the constant changing of the internet!

  7. Affiliategun says:

Once, I had attended Perry's seminar but i forgot where :p He's really cool, nice and attractive person.

  8. Chris says:

damn, I wish I could have been there. Vegas was fun for my industry convention but this is the stuff that I could actually use for my business!

  9. Just when I was ready to pull the plug on Twitter Perry at the seminar completely changed my perspective on social media marketing.

It's a relief to follow someone like Perry who never pitches any thing for sale, but instead he just gives gives and gives some more. If you want to learn how to do this Social Media Marketing right… follow Perry on twitter.

Glad to have met him in Atlanta at StomperNet Live. Great seminar!

  10. That is not Perry Belcher. It is clearly a danger hungry stunt double with a poor taste in clothing.

  11. diseño web says:

Hi, I see some videos from him but I don't put really attention. Is time to see his videos again :D

  12. Perry is a LEGEND. His stuff with Ryan Deiss is phenomenal and his Twitter posts are inspiring. The rest of the Live 7 lineup looked awesome too. Keep up the awesomeness! :D

Man! I sore some of his videos on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zn1cspHx7DU
That is one of them. He is the one of those guy’s, when he starts talking about all this stuff on internet marketing you just want to thump your head with your hand and say " jes why did'nt i think of that! ". His view on internet marketing is very, very good I really like this guy (yes he has screwed up but he openly admits to it and realizes what he has done) unlike the banks of this world who rob money from people everyday and its legal? Please just because they have they’re hand in high ranking people makes it ok?

Anyway that is another subject, I really like Perry and his ideas. If I ever sore him out in the pub id buy him a beer and pick his brains on internet marketing. Full of energy and that is the best thing to have in this current time. New ideas, new thinking, new ways on making money online is the way forward!

Thank you Stompernet for getting him out there, more than he already was!

    Love you Perry Belcher.

  15. Way to go Perry!

I heard Perry on an interview with Ryan Deiss a while back and If that is any indication of what he brought on stage I'm sure his shirt was the least entertaining part!

    Thanks for the update stompernet!

Perry Belcher, sounds like a presentation I could have easily stayed awake for, lol. I see a lot of presentations and I am notorious for dozing off. In talking with folks I understand I am not alone in this. You can have the most valuable message in the world, but if the presentation is 'boring' or un-engaging, folks will 'zone out'. I recently took a course in Assertiveness and the two girls that presented where full of energy, silly, goofy and very interactive. I was fully engaged, in a large part, because of the energy that these two girls put out and the entertaining way that they presented. The entire class was. Not only did these two gals have everyones full attention, everyone was having fun, laughing and really delving into the context of the workshop, assertiveness. It was a great experience to see the difference in my experience of a training workshop with a interesting/entertaining presenter(s).

Just looking a Perry's shirt tells me this guy knows how to get the audiences attention. I would love for the opportunity to attend an event such as this, I sure its a blast. I have been using twitter a fair bit…but perhaps not as much as many other do. My most common activity is to simply post cool sites/video I run across, usually a local or national news video. My following has been growing without much effort on my part (I don't think this task requires much time). Sometimes I'll put my handle in my sig when posting, but I think mostly it comes from following the right people. If you are following a bunch of the 'big dogs' and they are following you back, you'll begin to get a steady stream of other folks following them to begin to follow you. Compound this by following each new person back and in time your following can become quite substantial.

    Cheers!
