Our topic this week is the Value of Surveys. It often seems like a business owner is expected to read the minds of potential buyers and provide them with exactly what they want. But is that really possible?

Surveys are a brilliant way to gain that insight into your potential buyers, so you can better your products and marketing. By surveying, you not only learn what they truly want, but also what frustrates them, allowing you to create that ultimate product for them. If you don’t understand their frustrations, even if you have the ultimate product, conversions will be difficult.

One quick tip to increase your conversions is to simply add demographics questions to your survey. You can quickly learn if your audience is male or female, their age range, and if they make money enough to afford your product, etc.

You don’t want to create an expensive product and market it to people who can’t afford it.

As you learn more about your customers, you can also learn what you need to make your message engaging and interesting for potential buyers. This is the power of the survey and this is the reason StomperNet and so many other businesses use surveys.

If you think blogging is only for bloggers or personal journals, then it’s time to adjust that thinking. As mentioned over the past several weeks, traffic to your site is essential. But once you have traffic to your site, converting that traffic is even more important. You need those visitors to be consumers of your goods.

What do you need on your site to make that happen?

We at StomperNet have information to help you. The topic this week is Conversion. While it may seem like an art form, turning visitors into buyers, it is actually a skill all can easily learn. Learning that skill will create a positive impact on your bottom line.

The true skill is not getting more traffic but converting the traffic you have into buyers. Turning those people who already visit into people who linger is the first step. People who linger on your website are more likely to buy. And let’s face it; converting traffic you already have is going to be far better for your bottom line than constantly hunting for new traffic.

Here it is in number form: Imagine if you have 1000 visitors. If 10 people become buyers, that is one percent of your visitors. Double that conversion percentage and you are looking at 20 buyers. That is a very positive increase in your bottom line and why we at StomperNet want to help.

Christmas is over, and New Years is just days away. Maybe you are already putting up your holiday decorations or waiting a bit longer. But while you are putting things away, don’t let the after-holiday slow down be part of your business.

Many business owners accept that the next few months will simply be slow months. Their budgets and businesses suffer while they grow complacent waiting for spring or summer for the next big promotion. Your business does not need to wait or suffer.

You can do things right now to make your business sparkle in the eyes of your customers and clients. You can provide more hands-on service, more coaching calls for clients, and more attention for customers. Stand out in helping them and in your customer service.

Cut back on your expenses early. Look at your services and products that you use. Many services that used to cost you a bundle can now be used for free and work just as well.

But most importantly, switch things to give a more personal touch. Yes, it may take longer, but with this personal presence, your customers and clients feel like they know the people behind your business, which gives them a connection that sustains itself in the future.

Christmas is just a few days away now. But are you ready for the New Year? Are you ready for new income opportunities?

With a few modifications you can take one information product and turn it into multiple products that can reach a variety of people. For people who would rather listen in the car, tailor the products just for them. For visual people, you can have videos to learn from as they watch. Then rather than sell just one product, you are able to sell multiple products based on one.

But what about the customers that you already have?

We all know that it is much cheaper and easier to get your current customers to keep buying from you than trying to get new customers. One simple trick is to create products that are similar to what they already have.

Also, you might be surprised at how much a free gift can help keep your customers coming back for more. People just love free stuff. Just remember this free gift should be useful or give them a reason to happily remember you. But it doesn’t need to be expensive.

Follow up with them as well. Even things as simple as a welcome call or a how to use our product or service video can be the type of thing that keeps your consumers spending time and money with you.
